The 12-year-old boy is the son of a man who was killed immediately by the airstrike that targeted a Hamas training site in northern Gaza, said Adham Abu Selmia, a spokesman for the medical services.
Six other family members were wounded in the strike, which was carried out hours ago by Israeli F16 fighter jets.
Israel accused Hamas, the Islamic movement that controls Gaza, of being responsible for the death of the father and his child, saying that Hamas stored weapons near their house.
The boy’s death put the number of Palestinians killed by the Israeli air raids over the past couple of days to four.
