Gaddafi's sons, has been killed in a clash near the capital Tripoli. Celebratory gunfire has rocked Benghazi as rebels cheer the death.


A senior Libyan rebel officer says Khamis, one of Moammar Gaddafi's sons, has been killed in a clash near the capital Tripoli. Colonel AlMahdi Al-Hara-gi, in charge of the Rebel Tripoli Brigade, said he had confirmation that Khamis was badly wounded in the clash near Ben Walid and Tarhoni. He was taken to a hospital but died of his wounds and was buried shorlty after in the same area later. The Colonel offered no information of the timing of the incident and there has YET to be any independent

Cars raced through the streets, horns blaring and men cheered and danced in the streets singing, "Oh, God who gave us life, may Gaddafi die tonight," after they heard the news of Saif al-Arab Gaddafi's death. One man, Majid, said there would be repercussions, but "the big joy will be the day Gaddafi is killed."
